Clamshell Foundation's Fireworks Over 3 Mile Harbor Dedicated To Beloved Teacher Meghan Payne

EAST HAMPTON, NY — As the sky explodes in color and light this year, The Clamshell Foundation's annual Fireworks Show over 3 Mile Harbor holds special meaning, organizers said.

"We are dedicating this spectacular event to the memory of Meghan Payne, an incredible woman whose light touched so many," they said.

The fireworks by Grucci will take place on July 12 at 9 p.m. with a rain date of July 13.

Payne was a teacher in the Springs School District who passed away in January, leaving hearts broken.

"Meg was truly one of a kind — a loving mother, wife, devoted friend, passionate teacher, and unwavering supporter of our Foundation," organizers said. "This past year, we faced the heartbreaking loss of Meg to cancer. Despite her battle, she never lost her light, sense of humor, or boundless love for her family, friends, and students. To honor Meg and her beautiful legacy, we hope you'll join us in celebrating her life during this year's fireworks show."

Organizers added: "We are also rallying to give Meg's husband and three children the love and support they need during this incredibly difficult time. We love you, Meg, and miss you endlessly. Let's come together to remember her, honor her spirit, and celebrate the impact she had on all of us. Let's light up the night for Meg."
