2. Riverhead Police are investigating gunshots that were fired at a home on Wilson Avenue in two separate incidents this week, on Saturday morning and on Wednesday, striking and damaging the house and a vehicle, police said. (Daily Voice)
3. An inclusive new book, “Fire Island: A Century in the Life of an American Paradise” by British author Jack Parlett, advocates the "queer side of Fire Island by telling the history of the holiday resort through the eyes of renowned authors." (New York Daily News)
