Montauk Ranked 4th Among Most Expensive US Vacation Spots: Report

MONTAUK, NY — Montauk has ranked #4 among the most expensive vacation destinations in the United States, according to a new report by Magical Nepal.

The report states that the average meal cost per day for Montauk is $141.47, with the average accommodation cost per day coming in at $470.22, the total cost per day, per person equaling $634 — and the total cost for a family of four, for seven days, costing $10,183.66.

In comparison, the report states that, coming in at #1 is Aspen, Colorado, where the total cost per day, per person, rings up to $780 and the total travel cost for a family of four, for seven days, equals $14,081.21.

Second most expensive on the list is Park City, Utah, with Maui, Hawaii, coming in at #3.

The least expensive vacation destination in the United States, according to the report, is Charleston, West Virginia, where the daily cost per person, per day is $194 and the cost for a family of for, for seven days, is $3,273.89.

Earlier in 2024, Montauk also ranked #4 in most expensive vacation destinations in a Forbes article that cited Optimo Travel.
