PHOTOS: Benefit To Fight Back Against Breast Cancer Draws Hamptons Crowd

There were drinks and food as dedicated attendees partied for a great cause.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — There was a spirit of exhilaration in the air after Sandra Lee announced that she is cancer free at the 12th Annual A Hamptons Happening event Saturday.

The event took place at the home of Maria and Kenneth Fishel in Bridgehampton and marked the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation by noted oncologist and cancer researcher Samuel Waxman, MD.

A Hamptons Happening raised money for SWCRF, dedicated to curing and preventing cancer.

In attendance were CBS News anchor Chris Wragge, who honored Sandra Lee, a philanthropist, TV personality, best-selling author and breast cancer survivor; Jayma Cardosa, the founder of Montauk's Surf Lodge; and Deirdre Quinn, CEO of luxury fashion company Lafayette 148 New York.

After Lee gave a powerful speech about her battle with breast cancer and spoke from the heart about the importance of SWCRF, Cardosa and Quinn were honored for their support of this year's benefit.

Among the notable attendees were two Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin.

The event featured a live auction, along with food and drinks from 40 of the top chefs and restaurants in the Hamptons and New York City, including The East Hampton Grill, Noah's, Old Stove Pub, Tully's Seafood Market, LVD Hospitality, Francois Payard, Hampton Coffee Company, Saaz Indian Restaurant, Seafood Shop, Champagne Taittinger, and Chopin Vodka.
