Ross School Girls Varsity Tennis Continues Undefeated Season

The team is having a remarkable season with an undefeated record of 14 to 0, the Ross School says.

EAST HAMPTON, NY —Student athletes at the Ross School in East Hampton are a source of pride for the community.

The Girls Varsity Tennis Team is having a "remarkable" fall season with an undefeated record of 14 to 0, establishing itself as one of the most dominant teams in the region, school officials said.

"Displaying discipline, resilience, and camaraderie, the Ravens swept their league (13–0) and defeated top programs including Westhampton Beach, Connetquot, and East Hampton," school officials said.

Led by Head Coach Rafaela Santos and "a roster that blends veteran players with rising middle school talent, the team exemplified the Ross philosophy of holistic development, where academic rigor, athletic excellence, and personal growth work in harmony," school officials said.

"This season is about excellence in every sense," said Coach Santos. "Our players are competing hard, supporting each other, and representing Ross with integrity. Our current 14–0 record speaks to their preparation and commitment."

Among the season’s current highlights were a 6–1 victory over Westhampton Beach, "a key rivalry win, and a thrilling 4–3 triumph against Connetquot, the team’s closest contest of the season. Across the schedule, Ross players demonstrated depth and adaptability, with contributions from every position, singles and doubles alike," school officials said.

The team’s undefeated record underscores Ross School’s commitment to cultivating excellence across disciplines, the school said.

"Athletics at Ross are seen as an extension of the school’s broader mission: to develop confident, compassionate leaders who embody curiosity, collaboration, and integrity both on and off the court," school officials said.
