On the Logs 12.25.25 (easthamptonstar.com) — Recent police calls around East Hampton Town ranged from a disputed construction-site trespass in Amagansett to a false-identity traffic stop on Three Mile Harbor Road and a no-hunting complaint checked against an East Hampton Town map. Officers also handled suspicious-vehicle reports in Springs and Montauk and a Christmas party noise complaint in Wainscott, generally finding no crimes after investigation.

Town Clerk Carole Brennan Says Goodbye (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton Town is saying goodbye to longtime town clerk Carole Brennan, who is retiring after 36 years of service overseeing vital records, permits, and meetings. The town board praised her steady leadership as Michael Hansen prepares to take over the clerk’s office next month, while Brennan looks ahead to travel and reflects on changing public civility.
   

3. Defied a Restraining Order (easthamptonstar.com) — An East Hampton man has been charged with felony criminal contempt after allegedly violating a protective order by shoving another man and damaging a doorknob at the man’s home. He was arraigned before East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky and released, with a court date set for Jan. 14.

Springs Dog Park Stories: Bestselling Author Susan Verde on Why Every Body is Beautiful (hamptons.com) — East Hampton resident and bestselling children’s author Susan Verde shares how life in Springs and memories across the Hamptons shaped her new book, “Body Beautiful,” which encourages kids to love their bodies. Speaking from Springs Dog Park, she explains her focus on social-emotional learning, body positivity, and why this community still feels like home for her family and rescue dogs.
