Please describe why this individual is a hero at your school.
Cindy not only builds confidence as she tutors kids in need after school through Project MOST, a nonprofit, she also makes sure all kids have lunch foods and she has helped with an organic garden with her husband Joe so that the kids can learn to grow there own food and harvest. She looks at the whole person and know support and healthy food go hand in hand. Cindy makes sure kids have the supplies they need for school and discreetly provides these supplies as well as food that goes home in backpacks for the families. She is patient and kind and helps kids learn new skills that they are proud.

What should your community know about this person?
Cindy has been long time supporter and tutor of children because of her love of working with kids. She honors their privacy and helps them to build confidence and explore the possibilities for them. If kids are in need of essentials, she helps the kids through Project Most and does so discreetly. She understands that support, believing in a child’s full potential, patience and perseverance go a long way as well as that extra lift or support from an educator. A little recognition goes a long way for a child who has fallen behind due to circumstances beyond their control. Some kids are more disadvantaged than others and she is there to provide these attention and the extra teaching and the recognition of what is possible for any child
