“I chose Suffolk because it seemed to be the best option for me and my current situation
and I knew I had a chance of continuing to play my favorite sport. I never thought
about going to another college and knew I wanted to go to Suffolk. Based upon the
past two meetings I’ve had at the Selden campus it only reassured me that I made the
right choice,” said Khann.

“We’re excited to welcome Raleesha and Mia to our program, as we rebuild” said College
Associate Dean of Athletics and Special Events Neftali Collazo.
“Our goals are team unity, striving to produce the best basketball players, and most
importantly, supporting our student athletes academically. We look forward to the
journey ahead,” Collazo said.
Sykes and Khan visited Suffolk County Community College earlier this week where they
were greeted by coaches, staff and administrators for a ceremonial signing and welcome.
