On Friday afternoon Dylan Lauren and Rob Thomas team up for ARF's Adopt-A-Pet Event,
EAST HAMPTON, NY — It could arguably be the sweetest event in East Hampton this summer.
The Animal Rescue Fund of East Hampton's Adopt-A-Pet event is set to take place at Dylan’s Candy Bar in East Hampton on Friday.
"It will be great fun," said Dylan Lauren, owner of the popular sweet shop.

Lauren told Patch that she and the Thomases were touched by the plight of homeless pups after they adopted street dogs from Puerto Rico.
“I got my rescue dog Jersey from the Monmouth County ASPCA in New Jersey,” said Lauren, who launched and is the CEO of Dylan’s Candy Bar, and who also founded Dylan's Candy BarN, a non-profit organization created to increase awareness about animal adoption and to help animals in need.
“We started BarN out of a love of mine to help get animals out of shelters and into homes. Rob and his wife also started their own foundation, Sidewalk Angels Foundation," she said.
Along with a chance to get to know the dogs at the event, guests will have another sweet incentive to attend, Lauren said: “We’ll be offering free ice cream tomorrow for anyone who stops by during the event."
She announced that Dylan's Candy Bar will be selling ice cream in their East Hampton store this summer.
Friday marks the second year that Lauren has been involved with ARF’s Adopt-A-Pet event in East Hampton.
“We are excited to team up with Dylan’s Candy Bar and look forward to finding forever homes for some of our dogs. Be sure to tell all your friends and stop by,” ARF’s Jamie Berger said.
