This Week: Prime Rib Dinner, Play at Guild Hall

What's on your agenda for the week of May 28 to June 2.

Memorial Day weekend is behind us, so what now? Plenty is going on the rest of the week. There's the annual prime rib dinner on Sunday and Club Starlight at the Ross School on Saturday. And, if you want to see something in the theater, check out the "The Cripple of Inishmaan" at Guild Hall.

Student Faculty Basketball Game To Raise Money For Chris Foran: A basketball game will be held at East Hampton High School to raise money for Chris Foran's Heaven Can Wait Team for LI2Day Walk. The game begins at 4 p.m. Price: $5 entry fee. There will also be raffles and a bake sale.

Montauk Artists Association Annual All Members Show: The annual All Members Show at the Depot Gallery in Montauk begins. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m., except for Tuesday and Wednesday. The opening will be held on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Estate Sale: Estate artwork of local artist, wicker loveseat, chairs, Victorian bed, couches, dresser, exercise equipment, sea grass carpets,  ficus tree, clay pots, lumber, furniture, and lots more, will be held at 101 Old Stone Hwy. in Amagansett at 1 p.m. It continues Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

2013 Season Series Informing the Human Experience, "The Healing Arts ntegrating Psycho/Spiritual Healing Modalities: Global Swan provides outreach into the communities it embraces offering educational opportunities on personal growth, healing, sustainability, spiritual awakening, as well as interpersonal and professional connecting. Panelists include Drs. Paul and Evelyn Moschetta ("Are You Roomates Or Soulmates?"), Bernard Corrigan, MA., and Mary Bromley, LCSW. Discussion, held at LTV in Wainscott, starts at 6 p.m. Price: $35.

Rummage Sale: The Montauk Community Church will hold a rummage sale featuring clothing, household items, toys, baby items, and much more, starting at 9 a.m. Handmade rugs are also available for sale.

Art Exhibit: Claus Hoie's watercolor paintings "Insects: Real and Imaginary," will be on display at Clinton Academy in East Hampton from June 1 to 30. Clinton Academy Museum is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to  5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

The Business of Art: A four-part series on "The Business of Art" kicks off with "The Professional Artist," at the Springs Presbyterian Community Church at 10:30 a.m. Jane Martin will lead the discussion, which includes consignments and contracts with galleries, invoicing clients, and more. Price: $40 per seminar.

Annual All Members Show Opening Reception
: The annual All Members Show at the Depot Gallery in Montauk begins. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m., except for Tuesday and Wednesday. The opening will be held on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Home Canning Seminar: Mark Vosburgh, named Certified Master Food Preserver by Cornell Cooperative Extension, will present information on safe food handling, food preparation, water bath and pressure canning methods. The seminar, sponsored by the Friends of the Montauk Library, takes place at the library at 1 p.m. 

Navy Beach Hosts a Fundraiser to Benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation: Navy Beach is honoring Montauk’s Naval history and partnering with the Navy Seal Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for the organization from 4 to 6 p.m. A cocktail party, “Honoring our Warriors. Supporting their Families,” will be the official kick-off to a month of fundraising efforts at the restaurant. Price: $35 

Tenth Annual Live @Club Starlight: Ross School will host the tenth annual Live @Club Starlight benefit to raise funds for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund. The fundraiser starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and musical performance by Grammy Award winning artist, Cyndi Lauper.
