Week in Review: Springs School Community Rallies Behind Principal

1. Sag Harbor Man Charged with DWI in Route 114 Crash
Three were seriously injured, including a 6-year-old boy, in a collision on Route 114, near Deer Haven Court, in East Hampton on Saturday evening. The driver of one of the vehicles has been charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He along with the occupants of the other car are hospitalized.Â
2. Locals Take Frustrations to Facebook for a Laugh
We've all been there — That wildly frustrating moment on line next to an impatient customer. That encounter over a parking space that leaves you shaking your head, wondering, "How many more days until Labor Day?" The all-too-familiar feelings were what Springs native James Cuomo tapped into when he created a Facebook group aptly called: D--che Spotter.Â
3. Top Brass Urge 'Common Sense' Rules of the Road
At least they tried. Police and fire officials from across the Town of East Hampton are joining together to remind drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists to use caution on the roads this holiday weekend.Â
4. Khanh Sports Sinks Hole-in-One with Mini-Golf Course
An 18-hole course recently opened at Ngo's new space at 500 Montauk Highway, his second location that opened two months ago at the former Spielberg Nursery and Garden Shop. The course is open 7 days a week and play costs $8 per ball.
5. Parents, Students Rally To Support Springs Principal
