2 Arrested For Selling Drugs From Convenience Store: Nassau Police

Police say they were selling drug-laced chocolate and cannabis products from the store.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Nassau County police say two men were arrested Wednesday after they were found to be selling drugs from a convenience store in East Meadow.

According to police, an investigation was conducted at 1212 Exotic Convenience Store, located at 386 East Meadow Ave. Police say detectives found the store was selling Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), chocolate bars containing psilocybin mushrooms and a substance believed to be marijuana.

At 2:10 p.m., police arrested Ameen Ahmed, of Manhattan, and Ahmed Ajomai, of Mastic. They are both charged with second-, third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ahmed is also charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and unlawful sale of cannabis.

They're scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
