Driver Dumped SUV Used In Hit-And-Run That Hurt Woman, 81, On Long Island: Police
The red Town & Country registered in Texas was abandoned after the crash, Nassau police say. Do you know the driver?
UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau police are searching for the person who was behind the wheel of an SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run that injured an 81-year-old woman in Uniondale on Friday night.
An unknown male was driving a red Chrysler Town & Country registered in Texas, on Nassau Road at around 8 p.m., when it struck the rear of a parked white Toyota Avalon with a woman inside police said, adding that he bolted from the scene and a short time later abandoned the vehicle.
The woman was taken to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said.
