Duck Donuts East Meadow Grand Opening Being Held Saturday
The first in line at the Hempstead Turnpike will receive a dozen donuts monthly for a year.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Duck Donuts is bringing its made-to-order treats to East Meadow. The grand opening is Saturday at 8 a.m.
The shop at 2334 Hempstead Turnpike is owned and operated by Omar Athar and Sana Rafique, who also own the Garden City Park Duck Donuts.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first guest in line will receive one dozen donuts per month for a year. The next 50 customers will the "Sprinkling Happiness" Package with two dozen donuts and a bucket of coffee for a future visit.

The 1,800-square-foot retail shop reflects the franchise’s iconic beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere with indoor seating. In addition to donuts, the East Meadow location serves Duck Donuts’ signature coffee blends, espresso beverages and donut breakfast sandwiches. There are donut sundaes, frozen beverages and milkshakes to choose from.
Athar and Rafique grew up in the Garden City Park area and lived in Nassau County for more than 20 years.

"After receiving a welcoming response from the Garden City Park community, we are ecstatic to be expanding our locally owned business and opening our second location in East Meadow," said Athar.
In addition to its delicious sweets, Duck Donuts is committed to investing in the community through its "Quack Gives Back" program. As part of the grand opening, the shop has selected Cohen Children’s Hospital as its inaugural "Quack Gives Back recipient. Five percent of sales from opening weekend will be donated to the hospital.
