NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Nassau County business owner is stepping up to help a 3-year-old boy with cancer with a fundraiser at his three restaurants this weekend.

Anthony Suppa, co-owner of Frantoni's, founded Slice of Charity to give back to those in need. Suppa teamed up with Cause and Cart for the initiative.

Now through Sunday, 15 percent of sales at Frantoni's locations in Woodbury, Williston Park and East Meadow will go directly to support Hudson Swift, 3, who is fighting cancer.

Shawn Swift, a U.S. Air Force member from Garden City, lost his wife in January 2024. Months later, his son, Hudson, was diagnosed with brain cancer, Suppa said.

"Shawn is a friend of Frantoni's," Suppa told Patch. "He used to work for Frantoni's way before I worked there and way before I was a partner."

Shawn, who started as a delivery driver with the restaurant, became very close with the owners of Frantoni's.

"He's almost like within our circle," Suppa said. "We've been seeing and living with him and his heartache every step of the way. I was like, 'This guy needs a break. He needs some sort of break.' So we're like, 'What can we do?' He's in the Air Force. I was like, 'I've got to figure out some way we could help him. Let's just do a fundraiser at the restaurant and bring in as much money as we possibly can.'"

All profits from orders placed on CauseAndCart will also be donated to Hudson's fight, Suppa said.

Frantoni's has also partnered with Dual Coast Podcast and Facebook group Dine-LI for the initiative.

"Let’s come together as a community to support Hudson and show the power of giving," Suppa said. "Every slice counts!"

Thousands of dollars have already been raised for the Swift family, and Suppa is hoping for a strong finish to the fundraiser, which began on Feb. 17.

"People are starting to really come together," he said.
