Laughs at the Library: "Laughs at the Library" returns to the East Meadow Public Library Monday at 1 p.m. with host and comedian Mark Brier.
America's Music Grant: Enjoy a documentary screening and scholar-led discussion on the music genre bluegrass/country with Buddy Merriam at the East Meadow Public Library Tuesday beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The six-week series of public programs, created by Tribeca Film Institute in partnership with the American Library Association Public Programs Office and the National Endowment for the Humanities and in consultation with the Society for American Music, is made possible through America’s Music grant.
Absentee Ballots: The Nassau County Board of Elections is holding extended business hours Wednesday, Oct. 30, for anyone who needs an absentee ballot for the Nov. 5 election. Costume Night: Come in costume and celebrate Halloween early at the East Meadow Public Library Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. Special treats and fun are on tap.
