Man Dies In Nassau Crash Sunday: Police

EAST MEADOW, NY — A man died in an East Meadow crash Sunday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the crash took place at 1:19 p.m. A 40-year-old woman was driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima northbound on Carman Avenue; she collided with a 2024 Nissan Altima driven by a woman, 57, who was heading west on Salisbury Park Drive and making a left turn onto Carman Avenue, police said. Also in the Nissan Altima were a man, 55, and a woman, 56, police said.

All four people were taken to an area hospital for treatment; the 55-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the hospital, police said. The other three sustained minor injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
