Nassau Police Seeking Info On Hit-And-Run

A man riding a scooter was inured, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

WESTBURY, NY — A man was injured in a hit-and-run in Westbury earlier this month, and police are seeking the public's help to try to find the driver.

According to police, a 31-year-old man was riding an electric scooter near the intersection of Cambridge Avenue and Franklin Street at 10:50 p.m. on July 5 when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and police believe they went west on Franklin Avenue.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and is currently in stable condition.

Police are seeking the public's help to identify the vehicle that was involved. Anyone with information is asked to call the Third Squad at 516-573-6353, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
