New Members-Only Cigar Club, Steakhouse Debuts At Eisenhower Park
The General is located on the second floor of the building where the Carltun on the Park stood for years.
EAST MEADOW, NY — A members-only cigar club and steakhouse is opening in Eisenhower Park.
The General is set to debut on Aug. 14 for cigar aficionados and upscale dining in a private setting.
It's on the second floor of the building where the historic Carltun in the Park stood for more than 25 years. It closed last September.

The building underwent $6.5 million in renovations.
The General, run by Trahanas Hospitality Group, offers red leather booths, lounge seating, a bar and private rooms. There is also a fully furnished outdoor deck overlooking the Eisenhower Park Golf Course.

"Alongside our banquet facility, The Lannin, and our exciting new upscale restaurant, The Union, we will provide a trio of experiences under one roof that is unlike anything on Long Island," Elias Trahanas, co-founder of Trahanas Hospitality Group, said.
A high-end menu greets customers from a porterhouse for two and Wagyu meatballs to lobster with truffle and chicken burgers.
Cigar lovers will enjoy a members-only retail humidor and digital ventilation system with personalized Spanish cedar lockers for personal collections and cogar to purchase.
Two hundred of the humidor locker memberships have already been sold.
