Pair Charged with Robbing Teen in Roosevelt

Police are still searching for a third man wanted in the robbery.

Nassau Police have arrested two Roosevelt men and are searching for a third in a robbery at a park Thursday afternoon.

At 2:30 p.m., the 17-year-old victim was in Henry Street Park when he was approached by three men, cops said. The trio knocked the teen to the ground while punching and kicking him, police said.

The victim tried to run away but the group stole his hat, bicycle, and money before fleeing, cops said.

Jose Barahona, 18, and Bryan Bonilla, 18, were located and charged about an hour after the robbery, cops said. Police are still searching for the third assailant.

Barahona and Bonilla are charged with second-degree robbery. They will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
