Sandwich Institution Finds New Home After 50+ Years In Neighborhood

EAST MEADOW, NY — It's a homecoming of sorts for Village Heros of Syosset. The popular sandwich shop reopened last week after nearly two years.

It is a new location for Village Heros, now located at 575 Underhill Boulevard.

"Did you miss us? We missed you," the eatery posted to Instagram.

For more than a half-century, customers knew Village Heros for their wide variety of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

The new location is just across the street from its original home, Newsday said.
