What started out as a childhood hobby for Curt Gray, turned into something much bigger as he grew older.
About 20 feet bigger.
This contractor by day creates metal sculptures out if junk he's collected in his East Meadow yard.
"I have a photographic memory for junk," said Gray as he posed with his piece at the Bellmore Flea Market Sunday. "I can put my hand into a pile and pull out exactly the piece I need."
Gray creates these towering pieces each year and displays them on his Chestnut Avenue lawn.
Starting July 1, you can see some of his work at the East Meadow Library. The display runs through July 30.
