FARMINGDALE, NY — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many Farmingdale families. In Farmingdale, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

• What: Breakfast with Santa at Whiskey Down Diner
  • When: 8:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m.; 10:30 a.m. Saturday Dec. 7. Whiskey Down Diner will not be opening for regular business until 11:30 a.m. that day.

  • Details: Fun-filled holiday brunch the whole family will enjoy! Meet Santa in person, snap a photo, and enjoy your favorite Burgerology bites. Santa will also be making appearances at Burgerology locations in Rockville Centre (Dec. 14); Massapequa (Dec. 15); and Stony Brook (Dec. 22).
• What: American Airpower Museum's annual Holiday Pancake Breakfast with Santa Claus
  • When: 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 14.
  • Where: American Airpower Museum, at Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale
  • Details: People can mix and mingle with Santa Claus at a community event for the entire family. Hangar 3 will be decked out with Christmas decorations, and there will be photo opportunities with Santa, so people should bring their cameras and smart phones. Hot pancakes with butter, maple syrup, sausages and beverages will be served. Breakfast is $15 for adults and $10 for children. The fee includes admission and a tram ride for families around the Hangar’s ramp, weather permitting.
