Vincent's Clam Bar Sauces Being Sold At LI Walmart Locations
"We take great pride in introducing a product that for the elite palette and also priced for the regular pocket," GM Daniel Pepi said.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Vincent's Clam Bar sauces are now being sold at various Walmart locations on Long Island, marking a major win in visibility for the small business.
Vincent's jarred sauces have roots that harken back to the streets of New York City's Little Italy in 1904, according to the store. Its sauces have been sold for more than 40 years.
Now, the restaurant's mild, medium and marinara sauces will be available at Walmart, located at 965 Broadhollow Road. The restaurant anticipates all 13 Walmarts across Long Island to sell the sauces.

The sauces are currently being sold at Walmart's Farmingdale, Levittown, Uniondale, Westbury and Valley Stream stores, with Yaphank believed to be next, said Vincent's general manager Daniel Pepi. Pepi called the deal "big."
"At Vincent's, we subscribe to the adage 'Pay homage to the classes, but appeal to the masses,'" Pepi told Patch. "We take great pride in introducing a product that for the elite palette and also priced for the regular pocket. That's what makes us so accessible and so successful over the last 42 years."

Approximately three weeks ago, 10 members of Walmart's brass visited Vincent's Clam Bar in Carle Place, Pepi said. They looked at a showcase displaying Vincent's history and were fixated on the sauces.
"They came over and introduced themselves and in a couple of minutes, said 'How would you like to get your product in Walmart?'" Pepi said. "It's almost borderline happenstance, however, it's greatly appreciated."
