Update: 82-Year-Old Woodmere Man is Found

11-30-11 Update: Leonard Lewis has been found, according to an alert sent out at 8:29 a.m.

An 82-year-old Woodmere man was reported missing on Tuesday, according to police.

A Silver Alert, which is issued when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing, was sent out at 10:54 p.m. for Leonard Lewis.

Lewis is described as a 5-foot-10-inch white, non-Hispanic man, 180 pounds with blue eyes. He suffers from diabetes and is insulin dependent, has a pacemaker and needs oxygen, according to the alert.

Lewis was last seen on Tuesday. His clothing is unknown, and his destination, with his personal car — a 2003 White Toyota Camry plate number BLH1733 — is not known.
