A woman was robbed on Sunday night by a ski mask-wearing man in an underground garage in Lawrence, police said in a Monday release. The 51-year-old victim parked her vehicle in the garage when the man allegedly approached her around 11:35 p.m. and demanded jewelry and the keys to her car, according to police. The robber forcefully took $47 and car keys from the woman's coat pocket before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported, according to police. Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime should contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
