Elderly Patient Assaulted By Worker At LI Rehab Facilty: Police
Lisa Napier faces charges of assault and endangering the welfare of incompetent/physically disabled person, police said.

WOODMERE, NY — A Queens woman was arrested and charged with assaulting an elderly man in her care at a Woodmere rehab facility on Irving Place, police said.
The 71-year-old victim, who suffers from a cognitive disorder, was found with bruises on May 3, authorities said.
The victim's legal guardian questioned the facility and was advised that he fell out of bed several times, police said.

The legal guardian placed a camera in the victim's room. A woman was seen striking the man several times with a closed fist to the face and lower body, police said.
When the legal guardian returned to the facility she noticed new bruises on his face. Police were notified and Lisa Napier was arrested without incident. She is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree endangering the welfare of incompetent/physically disabled person and second-degree endangering vulnerable elderly/incompetent person. Napier was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
