Fourth Precinct Report, Aug. 30 to Sept. 6

Police report an arrest and incidents of theft and mischief.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • Yelena Fridrickson, 58, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Sept. 4 and charged with shoplifting assorted merchandise at on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.

  • An unknown person caused damage to a vending machine in Atlantic Beach State Park, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 31.
  • An unknown person slashed the tire on a vehicle that was parked on Park Lane in North Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 31.
  • Twelve dollars in coins were removed from a vehicle that was parked on New McNeil Avenue in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on Sept. 3.
  • A cell phone was taken from a vehicle that was parked on Sheridan Boulevard in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Sept. 4.
  • A GPS unit, iPod and $10 were removed from a vehicle that was parked on Boxwood Lane in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on Sept. 4.
