1. Nassau County Legislator C. William Gaylor penned an op-ed calling for the amendment of state laws concerning the reporting of hate crimes in response to increased incidences against Asian Americans. The proposed legislation would exclude personal witness information from being shared with defendants in hate crime cases. (LI Herald)

- Be aware of changes to service on the LIRR Far Rockaway branch for the next two weekends: The LIRR says customers on the Far Rockaway Branch will take buses between Far Rockaway and Valley Stream. Customers can use the Long Beach branch for the next two weekends to avoid the disruptions on May 15, 16, 22 and 23. (MTA)
