Hewlett-Woodmere School District Holds Election Tuesday
Check out our stories of this year's budget season.

With the use of reserve funds and the elimination of administrative positions, the Hewlett-Woodmere School District’s proposed budget of $105 million has the district’s “lowest in a long time” tax levy of 1.91 percent with little to no changes to education.
Polls will be open at from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. On the ballot will be the proposed budget, as well a proposition allowing the district to create a repair reserve fund from surplus funds. Four people are also vying for three seats on the board of education. The three that receive the most votes will be elected.
