Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle While Walking In Nassau: Police

INWOOD, NY — A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in Inwood on Monday night, police said.

Just after 11 p.m., police said, the victim was hit by a 2004 Ford Explorer on Sheridan Boulevard near Nassau Boulevard.

The 35-year-old male driver remained at the scene, police said.

The victim, who suffered severe trauma, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, authorities said.

Police are investigating.
