Man Shoplifts Items From Target In Nassau: Police

Along with burglary and petty larceny charges, Refugio De La Cruz violated a no trespassing order, police said.

NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A Queens man was arrested for shoplifting items from the Target in North Lawrence.

Refugio De La Cruz, 44, entered the Rockaway Turnpike location on Friday afternoon and concealed merchandise inside his jacket, police said.

He proceeded to exit the store without paying, police said.

De La Cruz is charged with petty larceny and third-degree burglary, police said.

Further investigation revealed De La Cruz violated a no trespassing order and has an active Nassau County bench warrant, police said.
