Man Shot At After Road Rage Incident In Nassau: Police

A man followed another driver into a parking lot and fired shots at his vehicle after a road rage incident, police say.

NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A man was shot at after a road rage incident on Monday in North Lawrence, Nassau police said.

A 54-year-old man was driving his 2016 Ford pickup north on Rockaway Turnpike when he became involved in a road rage incident with a man driving a dark-colored sedan traveling north on Rockaway Turnpike around 8:45 p.m., police said. The two men did not know each other, the department said.

The Ford driver drove into the parking lot of the Five Towns Shopping Center, located at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike, when the sedan driver also entered the lot and fired multiple rounds at the man's Ford, police said. The sedan driver then fled, heading north on Rockaway Turnpike, police said.

The Ford driver suffered a minor cut to his arm and was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said. No other injuries were reported, and detectives are seeking the shooter, police said.
