Man Sleeping In Car Found With Meth, Cocaine, Loaded Gun: PD
Police found the man sleeping in a Hewlett parking lot.

A man sleeping in a car was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as an illegal handgun on Sunday morning in Hewlett, police say.
According to authorities, a man operating street sweeper notified a patrol officer of a disabled motorist who was passed out in the driver's seat in a parking lot on Peninsula Boulevard at 2:22 a.m. Officers approached the gray 2006 Nissan Altima, which had the engine running, knocked on the window and shook on the car to make sure the man, later identified as 33-year-old Uniondale resident Donald Young Jr., was not suffering from a medical episode, police say.
Young, who appeared confused and unaware of his whereabouts, woke up and rolled down his window, which emitted a strong smell of marijuana, police say.
