Skeletal remains were found on the side of the Meadowbrook Parkway. A Republican challenger has entered the Nassau County DA race against State Senator Todd Kaminsky. And an Oceanside high school football player who was one of the most recruited in New York State has made his commitment.

- Jerry Barmash has the details on the Nassau County District Attorney race. State Senator Todd Kaminsky will be challenged by Anne Donnelly from the GOP. Donnelly is from Garden City and is a prosecutor in the Nassau district attorney's office. (Patch)
- Nassau County reminds residents there is a summer farmers market at the Baldwin LIRR station. The market runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Saturday until October 30. (Press Release Desk)
