  1. Alex Costello profiles Nassau County Police Officer Seren. He's a K9 who recently won fifth place overall in a competition held by the United States Police Canine Association. (Patch)
  2. Jerry Barmash reports that Sebastian Maniscalco will be the first performer at the new UBS arena in December. His standup comedy show is slated for December 27. (Five Towns Patch)
  3. News 12 Long Island has updates on the shark sightings at Jones Beach. There were two reports of sightings on Tuesday and on Monday a lifeguard may have gotten bit by a shark. Patrols have been increased. (News 12)
  4. News 12 also looks at a student vaccination site in Nassau County that is running at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead. The Student Vaccination Days will offer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines all month. (News 12)
  5. Cedarhurst is one of the low vaccination rate zip codes Governor Cuomo is targeting on Long Island. The hamlet has a vaccinated rate of 51.9 percent. Elmont and Valley Stream are also on the list. (Newsday)
