- Robert Pelaez explores a contentious Nassau County tax issue: Nassau County Republican Legislators asked County Executive Laura Curran for a detailed tax review, claiming some mansion owners in the county didn't pay any property taxes in 2020-21. A home in Hewlett Harbor owed $93,000 in property taxes in 2019-20, that were reduced by 80 percent in 2020-2021. (The Island Now)
- Jerry Barmash looks at Wantagh native and diver Andrew Capobianco's new Olympic silver medal win in his first Olympic games. Capobianco won silver on Wednesday in the 3-meter synchronized springboard competition with Michael Hixon. (Patch)
- News 12 Long Island continues to track the Jones Beach shark sightings. Swimmers were allowed back in the water at Jones Beach Wednesday morning. By the afternoon, Town of Hempstead beaches were closed to swimming due to a shark sighting at Lido Beach. (News 12)
