Pedestrian Struck In North Lawrence Hit-And-Run: Police
She suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Nassau police said.
NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A female pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver in North Lawrence in one of two fatal crashes on Tuesday, Nassau police said.
She was crossing Burnside Avenue, walking northbound at Washington Place when she was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop and sped away at around 7:22 p.m., police said, adding that she suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
She has not been identified.
