Police Identify Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run In Nassau
She was walking northbound at Washington Place when she was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop and sped away, police said.
NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — Nassau police have identified the woman who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in North Lawrence in one of two fatal crashes on Tuesday.
Esmeralda Larios-Perez, 34, of Inwood, was crossing Burnside Avenue, walking northbound at Washington Place when she was struck by a vehicle failed to stop and sped away at around 7:22 p.m., police said, adding that she suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another woman died earlier in the night.

She was struck twice and killed in East Garden City earlier in the evening.
The investigation is ongoing by Homicide detectives.
