Police: Woman Robbed After Being Asked to Cash Lotto Ticket
Victim was picked up in Far Rockaway by three Hispanic women, who then stole her belongings.

Three women who had asked another woman to cash a lottery ticket on Saturday in Woodmere allegedly threatened her with a sharp object and stole her cash and belongings, according to police.
Around 3 p.m., an unknown Hispanic female approached the 21-year-old victim in Far Rockaway and said she would pay her if she helped cash a winning lottery ticket, police said. Two other Hispanic women then picked up the first subject and victim in an older model dark green mini van with tinted windows and drove to the victim’s residence.
According to police, he victim retrieved her pocketbook and identification, and the group drove to , located at 929 Broadway, police said. The subjects asked the victim to go inside and pick up a prescription, but insisted she leave her jewelry and pocketbook in the van.

The victim refused, and one of the subjects pressed an unknown sharp object to her neck, police said. The victim then complied and left her property in the van. As she was entering the store, the subjects fled in the van in an unknown direction.
Proceeds were assorted jewelry, a passport and cell phone. No injuries were reported.
