Question of the Day: Red Light Cameras

Nassau County installed red light cameras at many major intersections a few years ago, including in the Five Towns.

Studies have shown that they do prevent the worst kind of accidents, but may create fender benders. Still, many argue that the point of the cameras is to generate revenue.

What's your take? Do you think the county installed the cameras to promote safe driving, or to generate revenue?
