1. Jerry Barmash writes about a Cedarhurst man who made death threats against several Long Island Jewish leaders including rabbis and threatened the Nassau County Police Department. Bradley Goldberg was arrested Tuesday, according to police. (Patch)
2. Jeff Bessen reports that Lawrence Village voted against the proposed aquatic center. The membership-based indoor pool and complex would have been constructed at the Lawrence & Yacht and Country Club. The village trustees also voted to prohibit the sale of cannabis in Lawrence Village. (LI Herald)
3. A startup dubbed the "Air BNB for pools" called Swimply just received $10 million in investor funding and announced an expansion into 25 cities. The Cedarhurst-based company was founded by Woodmere resident Bunim Laskin when he was only 20 years old. Swimply allows backyard pool owners to rent out the use of their pools. 4. Miriam Hall takes a deep dive into the tax incentives suburban New York municipalities are giving Amazon to build warehouses. The developer of the new Woodmere Amazon facility Wildflower Ltd. has received a total of $16 million in economic development incentives from the Hempstead Town IDA. (Bisnow)
