Rabbi Makes A Difference + Heat Advisory Is Back + Machete Killer
Here's a five-minute guide to what's happening in town today.

Hello, people of Five Towns! I'm here with the Thursday copy of the Five Towns Daily.
This Sept. 11 will be the 20th anniversary of the attacks, and a special Point Lookout ceremony is planned. A local rabbi was commended by Hempstead Town for his charitable efforts. The heat is back and Southern Nassau will feel like it's 100 degrees. And the MS-13 machete murderer received his prison sentence yesterday.
First, today's weather will be humid and partly cloudy throughout the day with a high of 88 and low of 74 degrees.
