Welcome back, Five Towns! Here's everything you need to know to get this Friday started off right.
Sadly, a young Hewlett High graduate lost his life in a car accident and is remembered by friends and family. A Woodmere rabbi is back from a trip to Israel. Sharks continue to be spotted at Lido, Long and Jones beaches.

- Jeff Bessen remembers Hewlett High School graduate and standout athlete Messiah Clark, who died at only 24 years old in a car accident this month. “He was free-spirited, a go-getter who wanted to flourish and made everyone smile,” his mother said. (LI Herald)
- The Jewish Standard looks at the recent Religious Zionists of America-Mizrachi rabbinic and communal leadership mission, where community delegates from the U.S. met with Israeli government members and rabbis. Rabbi Aaron Feigenbaum from the Irving Place Minyan in Woodmere was on the trip. (The Jewish Standard)
- Jeff Bessen also looks at a very young local entrepreneur. Aaliyah Nunn is four years old and is helping to run a lemonade and snack stand with her grandmother, Valerie Nunn. - News 12 has today's shark watch 2021 recap: more sharks were spotted Wednesday afternoon at Lido Beach and Long Beach. They were six feet long and 20 yards from the beach, witnesses said. Swimmers were allowed back in the water Thursday. (News 12 Long Island)
