Happy Tuesday, neighbors! Here's everything worth knowing in Five Towns today.

Tropical Storm Henri is gone and very few Long Islanders lost power. Find out how many. A man was arrested for defacing a synagogue and stealing Torahs in Long Beach, some still missing. And tonight is another summer concert in the park in Cedarhurst.

  1. Jerry Barmash reports that a man was arrested in Long Beach from Chabad of the Beaches Temple. Hunter McLerath, 23, of Staten Island, is accused of vandalism and stealing Torahs on Sunday. (Patch)
  2. Patch also has the story on gunshots fired outside Macy's in Valley Stream on Saturday. A window was struck at the Green Acres Mall but no one was injured. (Patch)
  3. Long Island mostly escaped unscathed from power outages from Tropical Storm Henri. Only 73o customers reported the power being out by Sunday afternoon. (Patch)
  4. The LI Herald explained that although Henri moved east of Nassau County, a flash flood warning was in effect Monday for the county. Pockets of heavy rain were the aftermath of the storm system. (LI Herald)
