Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a woman in East Rockaway last week and fled the scene. New York State has released information about the third COVID vaccination booster shot that's coming soon. And tonight there is a police fundraiser at Mulcahy's Pub in Wantagh.

- Jerry Barmash has the details on the Town of Hempstead bringing the COVID-19 mobile vaccine unit to East Rockaway. This afternoon the "Vaxmobile" will show up to Hewlett Point Pool for appointments or a limited number of walkup spots. (Patch)
- Patch also has the details on how the third booster shot for COVID-19 vaccines will work in New York State. The booster is meant to be eight months after the first two doses, and health care workers and nursing home residents and older people are first in line. (Patch)
- Mike Smollins reports that a woman was hit by a car in a hit and run while crossing Main Street in East Rockaway last week at 8 a.m. The 30-year-old was struck by a black Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound who fled. If you have information contact Nassau police. (LI Herald)
