LI Mom Leaves 2 Young Children In Car, Goes Shopping: PD
She was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A woman was arrested after she left her young children unattended in the vehicle while she shopped in Valley Stream, police said.
Sandra Mclamb, 33, of Queens, parked in the Home Goods lot on West Sunrise Highway just before noon on Wednesday, and left her 1-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter in the car, police said.
A witness saw the kids crying in the vehicle and called police, who were able to remove the children, officials said.

Mclamb later returned to the vehicle and was placed into custody without incident, police said. The children were brought to a hospital for evaluation and released into the custody of a family member, authorities said.
Mclamb was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. She was due to be arraigned on Thursday.
