FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — If you cancel your membership to Planet Fitness' soon-to-open Forest Hills location there won't be any judgement, or cancellation fee.

The new promotion offers Classic Memberships — which cost the usual $10 per-month plus $1 deposit and $40 annual fee — without cancellation fees to Planet Fitness Forest Hills — a new gym slated to open on the ground-floor of a luxury building at 107-02 Queens Boulevard "later this summer," the company said.

The promotion is only available through June 15, and the first month will be charged on July 17, but the Forest Hills gym's exact opening date hasn't been specified.

Gym goers get unlimited access to the Queens Boulevard location and free training with the cheap membership, while other amenities are offered with the $25 per-month membership, dubbed the Black Card Membership.

Planet Fitness Forest Hills has been in the works since 2020 but when the gym first announced it would open in summer 2022, some neighbors said they would rather see a supermarket open in its place, Patch reported.

"I was hoping for a Trader Joes," wrote one neighbor at the time.

Others, though, were pleased to hear that an affordable gym would be coming to the neighborhood — a sentiment shared by the company's leadership.

"We’re excited to bring a clean, non-intimidating and friendly workout environment to Forest Hills," said James Innocenti, Chief Operating Officer of PF Supreme LLC, a Planet Fitness franchise.

"Our affordable memberships allow members to stay active and avoid the heat all throughout the summer."

Once it opens, the Planet Fitness on Queens Boulevard will operate 24 hours a day on weekdays — starting at midnight Monday and ending at 10 p.m. Friday — and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, according to the company.

The Queens Boulevard outpost will be the gym's seventh location in Queens, but its first in Forest Hills.

Its other locations are located in Jamaica, Howard Beach, Jackson Heights, Astoria, and Long Island City.
