City Officials To Hand Out Face Masks In Forest Hills, Rego Park

City officials are handing out face coverings Tuesday afternoon in Forest Hills and Rego Park.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — City Council Member Karen Koslowitz's office is handing out face coverings Tuesday afternoon in MacDonald Park.

Koslowitz's office will distribute cloth and surgical masks from noon to 2 p.m. in the park, just west of the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station on Queens Boulevard.

Staffers will distribute one mask per person.

New York City's parks department will also give out free face coverings at the Lost Battalion Hall Recreation Center in Rego Park from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

New Yorkers are required to cover their faces whenever they leave home and can't stay at least six feet apart from others. Click here for more information.
