Police Arrest 56-Year-Old Man With Cane in Forest Hills Subway Stop Bomb Threat
The NYPD arrested a man on Wednesday they say is responsible for telling police he'd placed a bomb in the Forest Hills E, F, M, R station.
FOREST HILLS, NY — Police have made an arrest in the odd case of a man with a cane calling in a bomb threat to the Forest Hills-71st Street subway station.
Brian Harrison, 56, was charged with three counts of making a false report in the first-degree and three counts of making a terroristic threat in connection to the Oct. 13 incident, police said. Both charges are felonies.
According to police, Harrison used a pay phone at 9:31 a.m. on Oct. 13 at the E, F, M, R subway stop to call 911 and say there was a bomb in the station. The man then used the emergency call button on a station elevator and said "the bomb will go off in six minutes and 57 seconds," according to police.

Police shared surveillance video of the man, who can be seen walking off the elevator with a cane, wearing a tan backpack and black Oakland Raiders cap. He then lifts up the hood on his jacket and approaches the call box to make the threat before leaving the station.
